Discover São Miguel’s Lagoa Do Fogo on a thrilling half-day 4×4 safari!
Discover the natural beauty and local culture of São Miguel on this half-day jeep tour to Lagoa do Fogo and its surrounding highlights — perfect for travelers with limited time who still want to experience some of the island’s most stunning scenery.
We begin with a visit to Cerâmica Vieira, one of the island’s oldest ceramic workshops, where you can see traditional Azorean pottery being made and learn about its history.
Next, we head into the highlands for incredible views from Miradouro do Pico da Barrosa and Miradouro da Lagoa do Fogo, where you’ll take in one of São Miguel’s most breathtaking crater lakes. Sitting in a protected natural reserve, Lagoa do Fogo offers sweeping panoramas and a sense of peace that makes it one of the island’s top sights.
The adventure continues with a stop at Salto do Cabrito, a hidden waterfall surrounded by lush vegetation and geothermal activity. Finally, we make our way through the town of Ribeira Grande, known for its historic charm and unique volcanic architecture, before returning to Ponta Delgada.
